Meet Savannah at our special black dog adoption event next weekend (1/31/09)

Welcome to Pet Haven, Savannah!

Savannah is a 1 year old female black lab mix. She weighs in at 57 pounds and got a clean bill of health from the vet this week. She's currently hanging out in foster care where she shares her home with a couple other dogs (large and small, old and young), a couple of cats and a few kids. We don't know much about her background, but she seems to know her way around a house -- as you can see she made herself right at home on the couch.

Savannah and her fellow black dog fosters will be at our special black dog adoption event a week from Saturday. Please spread the word and come to check them out!

I'm Savannah's foster mom and I have to say she is a beautiful girl, her picture doesn't do her justice. She is completely crate trained, about 80% potty trained, takes treats very nicely, and although quite a Diva she is working on sharing. She absolutey loves people and her favorite thing is to cuddle up next to a people on the couch or snuggle up in bed! She lives with two cats right now and really could care less about them, in fact she attempts to avoid them if at all possible. She plays really well with our other two labs and is working on playing fetch. Her foster Dad took her on a few walks around the local lake with a gentle leader head collar and he said she did really well! She would be a perfect dog for any size family! Learn more about her at the black dog adoption event on Sunday!
